Windmill Ranch is an 11 acre retreat with enough privacy and activities that some may choose to simply stay on-site during their stay and decompress. For those who wish to stay and explore the property, we have some recommendations.
Windmill Ranch truly is a working ranch. Presently our babies include Baby, our mini horse as well as Altuve, Josie and Astro, our mini Bethlehem donkeys. Guests love feeding and having the opportunity to interact with all of them!
Several cut trails are located a few steps away from your casita and make for easy strolling in a peaceful setting. Of particular interest in the grotto is the Three Brothers Tree with three trees originating from one common trunk. This is named in honor of the owner and his two sibling brothers.
Just south of the casita and the large windmill is our working barn and livestock area. The pasture areas across the cedar post fence are home to our people-friendly, full-time residential livestock.
The pond area is a great place to congregate, grill, enjoy a fire in the pit, or picnic. Firewood and lighter fluid needed for both the pit and the grill are provided, as well as utensils needed for the grill.
